How it works

Three steps to a course-aware TA

1
Upload your course materials

Readings, lecture notes, chapters, cases — the same content you assign to students. The Virtual TA is grounded in whatever you upload; nothing beyond it.

2
Share the access code

Every Virtual TA has a shareable name plus a short access code. Give both to your students — via syllabus, LMS announcement, or a link — and they're in.

3
Students ask, TA answers

Students type questions in any language. Answers come back from your corpus with references to the specific chapters or readings, plus one-click follow-ups.

What students get back

An answer from your material. With references. And follow-ups.

Below is a sample exchange — not from a real student. Actual answers come from whatever course materials you upload, in whichever language the student asks.

Sample Q&A
Bramwell — Strategic Management
STUDENT

In chapter four, how does Bramwell distinguish between a firm's resources and its capabilities under the Resource-Based View?

VIRTUAL TA

Bramwell separates them by treating resources as the tangible and intangible assets a firm owns or controls — physical plant, patents, brand equity, technical know-how — while capabilities are the organizational routines that let the firm deploy those resources productively. The distinction matters because a firm with strong resources but weak capabilities cannot convert asset stocks into competitive outcomes; conversely, a firm with distinctive capabilities can outperform even when its resource base looks unremarkable on paper.

SUGGESTED FOLLOW-UPS
What role does the VRIO framework play in this distinction?
Can you give an example of a firm with strong capabilities but weak resources?

Students can ask in their native language. Answers reference the same chapters and pages you assigned.

FERPA-compliant. Grounded, not guessing.

Answers come only from the course materials you upload. The Virtual TA does not draw from the open internet or from what a frontier model happens to know about your subject.

Student questions and conversations are never used to train AI models — yours, ours, or any third-party provider's.

You control the corpus. Add, update, or remove materials at any time and the TA reflects the change on the next question.

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Per-course usage stays scoped to that course, not shared across accounts.
